What to Write in an Essay About Yourself

What to Write in an Essay About YourselfThe idea of what to write in an essay about yourself originated from a Victorian novel written by Sir Walter Scott. The subject was 'The Death of Captain Shaw,' a novel that were part memoir, part academic study, and part comedy. This private citizen who had served in the British Army in the Philippines fell in love with an American nurse on leave. Her name was Elizabeth Penny, and she was a prominent private citizen. Upon returning to England, Shaw, who was a civil servant, proceeded to make the acquaintance of various American citizens, whom he would eventually marry.Scott wrote that the writer wrote his memoirs while traveling through various locations in Europe. Scott provided the narrative using the first person, alternating between the vantage points of the characters. When he was writing about Shaw, he described his journey through the United States, being familiar with North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. His objective was not, however, to get his point across, but rather to support the science fiction theme of mankind's frequent hubris, in the face of a previously untenable foe. He wrote that the novel was supposed to be 'something of a joke.' It was a comedy of errors, where every character was, indeed, a misfit. It was a novel of outlandish exaggerations and absurd exaggerations. After all, Scott's intention in his novel was not to be either true or fictitious. Nevertheless, it did satisfy one particular standard: it was amusing. One could relate to the situations and happenings, even if they were absurd, because they were in the realm of fantasy. At the same time, one could laugh at Shaw, to relieve the burden of realizing that he was indeed absurd. We tend to fall into one of two categories: those who are satisfied with having an answer for our personal needs and those who are uncomfortable having an answer for their personal needs. The former category includes the majority of people in the wor ld, while the latter category does not include many people. For the first group, there is no need to go to the trouble of writing something because they do not need one, as their personal needs will not be addressed. For the second group, they do need to write something, and that something may include how to be better, or better prepared, for the future. However, it would not be the only thing written about themselves; sometimes we write an entire book about ourselves, but only publish half of it, and then eventually lose interest. What to write in an essay about yourself may depend upon the individual, but there is no reason why it should not be about personal needs. We all have plenty of things we need to think about on a daily basis, and we have done the best we can to make it through our lives. The people who are able to tackle the subject of what to write in an essay about yourself, are those who have dealt with enough of the real thing.
